Tashi is a Retreat Specialist
She has been leading yoga retreats across Europe since 2006. She began working as a retreat leader at a time when residential retreats were still relatively niche and went on to become teacher-in-residence at several of Europe’s most established and successful retreat companies. Through this work, she contributed to the development of retreat practices and formats that are now widely adopted within the sector.
In 2014, Tashi developed a residential mentorship programme which is embedded within her retreats, this course is designed for committed practitioners seeking a deeper and more sustained engagement with their yoga practice and teaching.
Tashi is recognised for her capacity to develop movement literacy, to create inclusive practice environments and to encourage reflective engagement.
Yoga as a Sustained Self-Practice
At the centre of Tashi’s teaching is a clear objective: to support her students to develop a genuine, self-led relationship with their practice. Her retreats, trainings and classes are structured to reinforce this aim, emphasising continuity, personal responsibility and adaptability over time.
Tashi has been practising yoga since the 1990s and began annual study trips to India in 2004 to deepen her understanding of the tradition. Her ongoing search for skilled teachers has taken her across the globe, She has completed certified trainings in Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Pranayama, Yoga Philosophy and Ayurveda.
Her teacher trainings include Kriya Yoga at Swami Samarpan Ashram (2004), Pranayama with B.N.S. Iyengar (2006), Purna Yoga Method with John Ogilvie (2008), Dynamic Yoga Training Method with Godfrey Devereux (2009) and the Sound Moves Method with Noah McKenna (2015).
After regular trips to Mysore, India Tashi received Level 2 authorisation from Sharat Jois of KPJAYI in 2013 to teach Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. She assisted Sharat on several of her subsequent trips.
She has been as a senior yoga teacher on teacher training programmes with Himalaya Valley Yoga, Green Lotus Yoga, and YogaEasy.
