YOGA RETREATS WITH TASHI DAWA IN SARDINIA

Just a short walk from the beach, this coastal spot in northern Sardinia is perfect for swimming, snorkelling, paddleboarding and long walks along the water. The sea is clear and inviting, and it’s easy to spend hours moving between the shore, the rocks and the water.

May is a lovely time to be here. The days are warm, the light is beautiful, and the island still feels open and uncrowded before the busy summer months arrive.

Each morning there are two yoga sessions to choose from, one more dynamic and one more accessible, so you can practise in a way that suits your body. In the evenings we come together for breathwork, chanting, embodied meditation and gentler movement.

It’s a week of yoga, walking, swimming and good company, leaving you feeling refreshed, grounded and more at home in your body.

SARDINIA RETREATS AT A GLANCE

Getting there: Fly into Olbia airport, transfers are available.

Yoga: The yoga classes are open to all levels, beginner to well practiced, a vigorous morning practice in two parts for level 1 or 2 and a restorative flow each afternoon before dinner.

Highlights: This is a superb location, with stunning accommodation, healthy plant-based buffet meals, lots of yoga, walking and seaside adventures.

Adventures: we stay on beautiful coastline nearby the magnificent La Maddalana, there are excellent half-day sailing and kayaking tours available.

History: Porto Rafael is a fairy tale born from a dream of Count Rafael Neville.  One night he had a vision: a small beach with few fishermen’s houses, a blue sea with a view that opened onto the islands. He followed the coast to Maddalena and when he reached this part of the coast he exclaimed “this is the place I have dreamed of”.
